A change is like riding a rollercoaster; you’re anxious, it’s something different. The barrier lowers, the ride starts, fear kicks in and your heart falls to your stomach.
Here is how to understand your emotions and create focus in your business when facing uncertainty.
Anxieties are fuelled by unanswered questions. Work with what you know and can control.
- Based on information you know, how will this impact your business?
- How does it change your clients’ needs?
When implementing business changes, you may experience fears. Get clear on what is driving them.
- Identify the exact fears; what evidence is there to support them?
- Based on the evidence are modifications necessary?
Frustrations can develop because your clients have other priorities. Be patient, be visible and when they’re ready you will be at the forefront of their minds.
When you kit a low, practice self-care, focus on what is essential and work on building a positive mindset.
- What are the three things to do today?
- What three things are good about today?
As the depression lifts, experiment, what is working and what isn’t/
- What further modifications can you integrate?
- How can you prepare your business for the new normal?
