If you normally provide in-person services, you may need to ‘pivot’ online to stay solvent right now. You and your clients may be ‘stuck at home’ but that doesn’t mean you can’t serve them. Here’s some ideas to reinvent your offering and generate revenue NOW!
Offer Sessions Online. Offer your usual services as an online session. Many personal trainers have been able to create innovative home work-outs and deliver them simply over zoom or skype.
Teach Something New. If your main business can’t operate right now, do you have a complimentary skill you could offer? A local decorator is running an interior design service online. A massage therapist who happens to be an ex-teacher is fully booked helping parents plan their ‘instant homeschooling schedule’. along with virtual tutoring for kids. Get creative!
Create a Course. Pick a hot topic that your clients want to learn about and create an online course.
Deliver Your Goods! One nutritionist I know has started a “smoothie delivery service’, ideal for people who can’t get out to the shops. An independent bookshop in New York has teamed up with a local food delivery company who will deliver books, stationery and gifts, along with your pizza!
Offer Gift Vouchers. If you really can’t offer your services ‘virtually’, create packages for future services. In the UK a hairdresser and beauty therapist created an “Post Lockdown Pamper Package” for when things get “back to normal’. She gets paid now, the client has something to look forward to! Genius! You could sell these online through eventbrite, visa paypal or even at Etsy, if you bundled it with a physical gift.
Get creative and get out there!
