“Do something you’re never done before so you can be someone you’ve never been before.”
The act of doing something, of working on a problem, leads to ideas coming to mind on how to solve the issue at hand. We try the idea, we learn if this helped or not. The “act of trying” gives us a sense of accomplishment.
- Write down all those jobs that are on your mind. Anything that you believe is unfinished needs to be captured. Removing these thoughts from your mind, allows you to focus on one task at a time. Simply take a piece of paper for each item. Keep going until your mind is clear. Then we will sort these into buckets or piles. Remember we can come back at any time and sort through and change the bucket/pile.
- Review each item and identify what your action is, what you need to do to make progress towards completing the job or project. Perhaps, you need to book an appointment or pick something up as the next step.
- After you have decided on all the actions you need to do, set up a system of reminders that you review regularly.
- Focus on what you can do to move the top three items forward.
