“Publicity can be terrible. But only if you don’t have any.” – Jane Russell
The world we operate in is changing fast but one thing that never changes is the importance of our business being visible. Our digital platforms and social media allows us to speak regularly to customers and respond to change quickly. This lets us continue to promote our business, even in a crisis and have an engaged audience ready to buy our services once it’s over. Don’t hide away.
Media Coverage is a marketing tool like no other, putting our expertise in-front of an audience, helping attract new clients for free. It gives us credibility and marks us out as an expert in our field. These days that media might be a publication, TV programme, podcaster, YouTube channel, an Instagram influencer or a website.
If you’re new to this, search for #journorequest on Twitter. Here you’ll find a host of editors, journalists, bloggers, podcaster and TV researchers looking for business owners like you to contribute to their content. It’s a fast-moving hashtag so look twice a day, If you see anything you’d like to get involved with, reply to the tweet or DM them and they’ll do the rest. It’s the easiest route into the powerhouse that is the media.
