“Those who love you most help you to love yourself.”
There are times in our lives when we need to clean up, de-clutter, and do what is best for us. Sometimes that means the relationships in our lives too.
Unfortunately, many times we leave self-care until something drastic ha happened and we are forced to do it. That’s ok, there is no better time than now.
Where does Marie Kondo come into all of this? Well, if you have watched her show or read her book you will know that she asks you to evaluate whether an item brings you joy.
So in turn, does this relationship bring you joy? Does it make you go ‘oooh’?
Have you outgrown them? Do they now bring you a negative experience? Maybe it is time to let them go.
If so, then package the relationship up nice and neat and send it on its way. Or use this time of distancing to do just that, distance yourself.
You are the most important person in your life and the relationships in your life alter your self-identity. Surround yourself with people who love yo unconditionally – even if right now that’s just virtually or on the phone. When your life is filled with love then you can find the core elements of your own wellbeing.
