Is the obstacle the way….. perhaps
I just had something happen the last weekend….
I was writing an email sequence, and running it thru some templates and I know I could save the template. That part worked just fine.
I had learnt how to do the save. The videos had showed me how. I had a nice pretty little header with link on it. The body the letter, and I had signature images with links. A whole bunch of stuff and I would save it. With all the links I had on it it took me over a half and hour just to do one email. But why couldn’t I use
the template I saved for my next email???
The Obstacle is the way
That was the obstacle that was driving me a little crazy yesterday. So I thought OK just leave it and do the manual way. So I did it
the long way, the manual way and it took me, oooohh. Poof. 3-4 times as long as it should have. And I had to do 18 emails and I was only one number 8 or 9
So I thought what the heck… I am going to drop an email into support, explain what I need and get them to tell me how. So I did that before I went to bed last night. Thinking…. well I will get a response by the next day sometime.
PS…. If you do not ask….. they cannot give you the answer to your question.
So they did respond, and they asked for further details. So I did – point by point. And they responded with a video showing me how to do it. I was only missing a couple – TWO little steps. Click this button and then click that button and now>>>>
I have this email template that I can pull in for all my eighteen emails and I only have to change the body of the email and the links. I only have to change the main part of the email and all the rest that took so much time are already there!!!!
But the cool thing is I have copies of all the emails because on the system I am learning a lot of us have trouble with followup. We have friends. We have business acquaintances annnndd we mean to follow up with them but life gets in the way. We forget to followup with them,
When we forget to followup, it’s not intentional…..Life gets in the way.
So the cool thing on this is, when somebody gives us their emails, then we can followup and see if we have something that they are interested in. They may or they may not.
The key with sending out emails or even messages, or whatever…
Is don’t take it personally,whether they decide to buy or not. It may be their time or it may not be their time. They may be where you are in your world or they may be way behind like you were 2-3 years ago.
I was laughing because I found out how to do it. My mentor didn’t know and she turned around and said can you email that to me. I am laughing as this is a smart woman that has wrote programs, coaching programs, and has membership sites this for years. Now we have the video to send to others on this one little hack to get around the issue I HIT THE WALL ON.

So was the Obstacle the way….. Well now I can whip off one of those email in less than5 Minutes because the template is set. It is done.
A Lot of us have trouble with doing facebook lives. People tell me I Am so good at doing them now, well three years ago I wasn’t! I was scared out of my mind but I just did them and I babbled about nothing.
The neat thing is that you are getting to know me. I might be reading off my script, like yesterday I was trying to read off my blog. And today I am just abliving it.
And being a 4H’er, I am doing an impromptu —- hopefully that are not marking me. But if they do, I don’t care. Because that is their issue. Not mine.
So anyways,
Those facebook lives of cool as I am doing this facebook live now and I will download it to YouTube video and Vimeo video. I could throw it into a blog in my blog post (here on Medium.co m).
I can repurpose it and use it in a podcast,which I have to set u[p yet. I have not done that yet. And I can turn around and write it out or have someone write it out The cool thing is if you do not know how to do something.
You do not have to know how to do everything.
WHO has the TIME!
If you do not know how to do something – find somebody that does. And if that is their passion, they can do it for you at a fraction of the cost. A fraction of what it would have cost you. Remember if you are sitting there learning it, and it takes you thirty hours to learn how to do something…. and they can do it in 5 minutes. Your time is worth something.
So……reach out and find people to help you. If that is what you need to do.
Reach out to me and maybe I can help you along in your steps. I am learning tons of steps as I was told by another one of my mentor (one of the Kings). He said to one of my people…”if you do not know how to do something and you need to know how to do it…GO Learn how to do it….And get that skill”
So for me I wanted the skill to be able to reach more people from remote locations or smaller centres, where there is not a lot of people, as that is where I come from. And I know a lot of us are in that same place, and even some people in the great big cities, where people are all around them, really are isolated . You can be just as isolated in the big city as in the middle of nowhere in the country.
