I’ve had to reinvent my business several times and have helped many clients do the same when work has disappeared overnight.
In the panic, it can be tempting to freeze or to take the first opportunity that comes along to just get money in the bank. These decisions are made from fear, reaction and are rarely the best path for us. It’s important to take time to stop, feel the feelings, reflect and ask yourself these two questions.
- Why do I do what I do? If nothing else was left, what’s important, what makes your soul sing?
- Who am I in my business and who do I love to be?
Be crystal clear on the feeling of your big why. Keeping that in your thoughts allows the Reticular Activating System, the matchmaker in your brain to dutifully show you more of what you are thinking, feeling and focussing on.
So, to attract new opportunities that light you up, keep your focus only on what you want to create in your life. Direct your thoughts and your RAS will show you opportunities that match and then it’s up to us to follow the breadcrumbs! Focus only on what you want!
