Louise Simpson enlightens us with wise words in Ready to Rise
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results” – Albert Einstein
In times of uncertainty, it is easy to feel like you have no control over anything and that is where overwhelm kicks in – but it really doesn’t have to be that way!
By organising your home, you can regain control and give yourself more time to focus on the things that really matter. You can get others in the home involved too – teamwork makes the dream work!
Start with areas you use frequently, such as sorting out your clothes, organising your kitchen drawers or tackling your paperwork pile. The next time you need something, you will save time searching and be able to find it straight-away – giving you more time to get to grips with all of those other things on your to do list!
Categorise – keep like with like and establish files for paperwork, such as home, health, school, etc.
Declutter – take time to question why you are keeping the item. Will you use it? Does it make you feel good? Or are you only keeping it because you feel like you should?
Organise – now you have the things you want in your home and know where to find them!
Louise Simpson helps busy people to get more done and restore balance in their homes, tackling both the emotional and physical barriers. Happy to work virtually and in person. www.LouiseSimpsonCoaching.co.uk
